Jer-Bear & Sam-Sam-Sameri's Robots

I doodled two robots one for Jeremy and one for Samuel. I have found through out the past few years that the boys love when I draw them a picutre or make them a card. Which touches my heart.
The robot above is for Jeremy.

This robot is for Samuel.
I love when the boys and I get to have our "Family Artness" days. We get a couple of them a month. We sit around the dinner table and draw, paint, sculpt, etc....and then bug each other to "Looky what I did!"
I made the Robots for a small Valentines gift. I am going to give them their doodles and some art supplies instead of candy. On the back of each doodle I am going to write a few scriptures to encourage them.
Misc drawing info that you many want to know or may not want to know:
Jeremy's drawings tend to be what I call "Old school Comic Book" like the old superman comic books. Very square, showing muscles etc. He is also very creative at coming up with ideas that he hasn't seen before.
Samuel's drawings are hard to tell what style he seems to favor because he is 6 years old and everything is very 2D / cartoon like.
I am a totally 2D doodler, I prefer cartoon like characters, I like to exaggerate features etc. I wish I could draw in pencil with shadows, depth, and light. But I struggle to do that so I cheat...... That's why I like watercolors....because I can achieve the shadows, depth, and light much easier. (I am a new watercolor-er so please be kind with your thoughts...I have only water colored for not even 6 months....so give a girl a break! LOL)
I am no super artist. Most of my doodles take me less than 10 minutes to do....once I get a feel for a doodle, I then may take more time to develop a character. But the posts I've shared today are all less the 10 minutes to doodle and even less time to slosh color on.
I want to develop the robots more and more. I want them to reflect more of Jeremy and Samuel's personalities.

My favorite way to watercolor is using re-inkers. I also us watercolor paints, I prefer tube paints over the cakes...but have both.
Well enough with the boring info on our family artness.
Thanks for enduring 2 posts today!!! LOL!

Happy Sunny Smiles

This is a doodle I did last night. I was able to take a few minutes this morning to slosh some color on it. I think.............I want to add some more color, or clouds, or something.....I am not sure. Please share with me your thoughts.
I posted something Sunny and cheery today because in Wisconsin we are having a winter storm.....Don't get me wrong, I love the snow. I love watching it fall from and seeing the trees full of snow, it is beautiful and winter is one of my favorite seasons. But I do have to confess that I can't wait to see all the bursting colors that spring has to offer. =)
I have to share:
I was listening to some awesome preaching this morning. The title is "The Mind of the Spirit vs. The Mind of the Flesh". It was awesome preaching! The Word of God is truly living and sharper than any two edged sword, dividing the bone from the marrow! We serve a Mighty, Faithful God full of Mercy, Love, Grace and Peace. His ways are perfect! I won't pretend that I understand God's ways. Because most of the time I don't. But I do however love it when He give us Revelation of who He is through our trials and storms of life.
The Scripture below has encouraged me the past couple of weeks and have been manifesting in my life. Everyday though the Word he is instructing me. The preaching so impacted me this morning because He is instructing, teaching, and guiding me. I am in awe of what a Great God we serve!
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye."
Psalm 32:8
I hope you have a great day. Thanks for stopping by and I will have more doodles to share with you later today and tomorrow.
Many Blessings!

Bunny Love and some babble

As you are well aware, I adore the stamps from CHF and especially the Kim Hughes Collection.
I also love all of CHF's background stamps. Lisa Strahl (MonaLisa) has designed many, many beautiful backgrounders, I am using one of my favs in the card, lined paper.

Card deets:
Stamps: Cutie Pet-Tootie, Cutie Pet-Tootie sentiments, and Lined Paper BG
Ink: SU! Tempting Turquoise, Staz-On Jet Black, and various SU! re-inkers.
Accessories: Oval Marvy Punch, and some purple rhinestones.

This is going to be a quick post....I know this is Bella Friday and I will make up for it next week.

Good Babbling:
I was browsing Taylor VanBruggens Blog, Taylored Expressions. There is a group of her friends that are going to have a Bible Verse Challenge on the 8th of each month. They invited others to participate if they'd like and I am so on board with that. I love the Word of God!
Please make sure to visit the link to Taylored Expressions for the deets. The code they give to uploading on Splitcoaststampers is BVC08.

And on that note I'd like to share a scripture that has blessed me over and over.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (KJV)

Many blessings!

My AUNT Kathy made this!

Forgive my picture taking abilities.

My Auntie Kathy or Auntie Kaskfy (Kask-fee) as I call her is beyond talented when it comes to crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She totally makes me sick. (insert *winks* and huge *smiles*) I can sew and love the way it looks when I'm done, but I prefer paper crafting. I think it has to do with instant gratification.....(Um, how about we won't go there, only because sometimes creating a card can take way tooo long and on one or two occations a few days of drawn out card drama.....LOL!)

My Aunt is making these gergous baby dresses and selling them. She does bonnets and botties to go with them. She normally makes these dresses as baby gifts for friends and family. I still tease because I got jipped....I had two beautiful boys, so I didn't get a dress. I keep telling my Auntie that I have doll that would love to wear one of her dresses. She only give me BIG *smiles* as she creates yet another master peice for someone who is having a girl. I wouldn't trade my boys for anything. So I am forever without a hand made dress.

On my Aunties defence I do have to tell you that she has made me a crocheted purse and gloves along with many, many other items. I am only *teaseing* my aunt via-my blog and letting you in on it. (LOL!!)

Please let me know what you think, and I will pass your comments on to her. I have several other pictures of her creations that I might share at a later date.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone is have a wonderful week.

Many Blessing to you!

Mailboxes of Love

The mailbox above was made for my youngest boy, Samuel.

The mailbox above was made for my eldest, Jeremy.
I found these cute mailboxes at our local Target in their $1 spot area. Total score for me! At first I was unsure of what the boys would think of having a mini mailbox. But when I pulled the mailboxes out of the bag, my fears were at ease. The boys couldn't wait for me to finish the mailboxes. They are super duper easy to make. I had the boys pick out the paper they liked and image they wanted. I kept them pretty simple and basic, since it is for boys. They gave me their input as I was making them. They didn't want any "girlie fooffy stuff" like I put on my cards. Well who could blame them. They love their mailboxes and that is all that matters.
I used the mailboxes for the first time yesterday. The boys have always loved receiving cards...now when they wake up the first thing they do is check to see if they have mail. (It is too cute!)
The Deets:
Stamps: Amuse - Rocket, Sentiment, Rock Star
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On, SU! reinkers
Paper: Misc. paper that I had around the house, Certainly Celery, Not quite Navy CS
Accessories: Little pieces of ribbon for easy opening
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

Shabby Owl and a few thoughts

This is another card using the Pretty Birds set from the Kim Hughes Collection. You can find it at Cornish Heritage Farms.

My Thoughts for Today:

Today was an odd weather day. We had lots of fog and a thunder storm in winter, which is unusual. It reminds me of how I had been feeling in my walk with God. Let me explain.... (Now don't bug out just yet...)
Have you ever had times or seasons in your life, when you weren't sure which direction to go. You were seeking the face of God daily and yet you couldn't see him before you, behind you, or on either side of you. It's like seeking God through a thick of fog.
Well I am coming out of a "foggy" season like this. I am learning and reminded when I am seeking God's face and can't seem to find him, that all I need to do is look up. God reminded me of this and I started looking up, only looking to him, during this "foggy" season of my life and I am so very thankful! No the fog did not lift right away but I did receive the direction I was seeking and I have a closer relationship with God because of this season, which I think is beautiful. God always goes beyond what we can ask or think. He is ever faithful in the storms of life. A Mighty God!

I pray you have a wonderful week in the Lord.

Now for the Craft stuff:

Stamps: Pretty Birds set by Kim Hughes from Cornish Heritage Farms.
Paper: Noteworthy Collection by Making Memories- I am using the spiral journal note book,
I love Elsie double sided paper for the flowers and the sentiment (I used both sides).
Ink: Jet Black Staz-On, SU! re-inkers, Cool Caribbean, Coral and Rangers Lettuce.
Accessories: Making Memories crochet lace- Khaki greenish color.

I know that I have been sharing lots of cards using the Pretty Birds set....I hope you don't get to tired of seeing them.

Bella Friday

Well this is a Fella not a Bella today. I didn't have a chance to do a fresh new card/design for this Friday. I made this card in December and haven't shone it on my blog yet.
I used the reverse masking tech and I don't blame you if you are tired of seeing it. (I am tired of this tech....lol!)

Stamps: Fishafella by Stamping Bella, sentiment is from Paper Trey - Borders & Corners Monogram.
Ink: Staz-On Jet Black, and SU! reinkers.
Paper: Fabrino Watercolor paper.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Many Blessings!
