Creating time for art

I am finally taking some after moving to some art time in. It's been
hard to pick up my supplies, well first they were all packed. But after I got them unpacked I wanted to create but I also wanted to spend time with my family and just chill. Feeling a little guilty taking some time to create.... even tho my sweet heart encourages me to create and take time for my art.

Isn't it totally like a women, a mom, a girlfriend to set aside our own desires, in my case to create art. Even when I have the most supportive family. They see my art and the time I spend creating a blessing and I feel guilty. I sure hope I'm not the only one who does this...

Now I am just rambling on and on with really no point other then to listen to my sweetie and take time to create. So in that vein of getting back my creative groove without guilt.... I applied to Butterfly reflections ink design team. I love her store and shop their often. Wish me luck.

I'm working on a few cards and a few original art piece today... can't wait to share more.

Dream Big!

Making my oldest sons birthday card. He's been called "bear" since he was a wee little thing.

I masked out the bear, balloon, and planets. Then took out my watercolors and made a fun galaxy background.

This is the finished card. I added some shimmering spray and glossy accents to the finished card.

Wishing you showers of Joy

I saw this adorable card made by Julie Ebersole on theClassroom by Ellen Hudson.
She used the new stamp sets from Hero Arts oh my gosh the stamps are adorable. I was inspired by her card and don't have the new hero arts stamps... yet. So I looked through my stash and found some unloved stamps by mama elephant.  This little bear reminds me of paddington bear!
