Birthday Phone & A Laugh

Who doesn't love Altoids ?!?!??? Yummy.... I purchased a plain Altoid tin and decided to dress it up a bit for a fun birthday card.

This is the tin closed........ and

This is the tin open with a mini accordion card inside. I used some older K & Company girlie paper I had in my stash for each section. I alternated DP too... on the inside are some fun images from Gina K Designs - Text Message stamp set. (Love this set!) **See below for the deets**

Thoughts:

I hope you had a fantabulous Monday! The boys are uber excited that school is starting in 2 weeks. I have mixed feelings. My baby is going to be in the 6th grade this year....He is growing up so fast. My littlest isn't so little any more either and he is going to be in 2nd grade this year.

I want to cherish every moment we have together while they are children, because it isn't going to last.

Since I seem to being going down the sentimental path of Motherhood. (which I love by the way) I though I'd share some funny thoughts from a Devotional for Moms, by Robert J. Strand.

Things Learned from Children

1. Garbage bags do not make good parachutes.

2. A three-year-old is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant.

3. If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller blades they can ignite.

4. If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a forty - two - pound boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, to spread paint on all four walls of a large room. (LOL!!!)

5. When using the ceiling fan as a baseball bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.

6. The glass windows (even double or triple pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.

7. When you hear the toilet flush and the words, "Uh-oh," at the same time, it's already too late.

8. A six-year-0ld can start a fire with a flint rock even though a thirty -six-year old man says they can only do it in the movies. A magnifying glass can start a fire, even on an overcast day.

9. No matter how much Jello-O you put in a swimming pool, you still can't walk on water. (LOL!!!)

10. Pool filters do not like Jell-O.

I hope these brought a smile to your face.....I know I needed that today. I just love my boys so very much...and I am glad that they don't read my blog, because they may get some more "creative" ideas.... Please feel free to share any fun and creative things your children have done. I'd love to hear!
